Chippa, Aces share the spoils

Port Elizabeth - A late equaliser by Thami Sangweni has rescued a point for Chippa United in a thrilling 2-2 Absa Premiership draw with Black Aces in Port Elizabeth.

Mpho Mvelase netted an early goal for the hosts before Aces went ahead via Tendai Ndoro and Aubrey Ngoma. Sangweni left it late to steal an equalizer in the 86th minute

Chippa got off to a bright start when Mpho Mvelase slotted home in the 5th minute following Andile Mbenyane’s support work.

The goal spurred Aces into action and after 11 minutes Aubrey Ngoma hit the post and a few minutes later Ndoro missed a good chance.

Just after the half hour mark Aces came close to their equalizer when Eddie Ngalo got above the Chippa defence but his header went just wide of target.

Ten minutes into the second half Aces found their goal when star forward Ndoro slotted home following Okonkwo’s supply from midfield.

But then Aces’ second goal came when Tukane took a quick set piece to find Ngoma who was on hand to put the chance away with his left foot.

To cap off an exciting night of PSL football, Thamsanqa Sangweni grabbed an equalizer with a right foot finish to after some good work by James Okwuosa.
