Cape Town - New Platinum Stars goal-poacher Takesure Chinyama has finally got his work permit and is set to make his debut for Dikwena when they face Wits in the MTN8 Semi-Final first leg at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace near Rustenburg on Sunday.
The 30-year-old Zimbabwean was handed a free transfer by his previous employers, Orlando Pirates, at the end of last season and while he was surprised, he knows he has to get on with his career.
“It’s still a surprise to me, but that is football. You have to move on and accept,” Chinyama told the Kickoff.com website.
“In football they hire and fire, so what can I say about it? I’m now at Platinum Stars and my life is moving on.
“Yes, I’m disappointed, but what I told myself was there is life after Pirates, so I moved on.”
Chinyama spent the most part of the season out of action due to injuries but when given a chance, he did not disappoint as he managed to find the back of the net seven times for the Buccaneers in all competitions.
