According to KickOff, Kaizer Chiefs management and the strong central defender’s representatives will strike a deal “soon”.

“We are still in talks with the club and it should be done soon,” said the player’s agent, Jazzman Mahlakgane.

It has been revealed that Mashamaite will put pen to paper on a three-year contract in Cape Town as Chiefs are based in the Mother City for a camp.

Chiefs have already tied down two players - Siphiwe Tshabalala and Brilliant Khuzwayo both signed three-year contracts with Naturena side.

Meanwhile, Stuart Baxter and the Glamour Boys will be based in Western Cape for two weeks.
