Chiefs to face PSL’s DC

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs will appear before the Premier Soccer League’s (PSL) Disciplinary Committee (DC) on Thursday November 3, after failing to submit a team sheet on time.

The case relates to the Telkom Knockout fixture between Chiefs and Platinum Stars which took place on October 23, 2011.

Amakhosi contravened Rule 11.1 of the League Rules and of Schedule C of the Media Manual, which is incorporated in the league’s compliance manual.

The team failed to submit the team sheet 60 minutes prior to the start of the game, contravening Rule 11.1.

In addition NFD club Sivutsa Stars will appear before the DC on two charges. The first charge is related to their game against University of Pretoria on October 23, 2011, where the team fielded a suspended player who had accumulated three yellow cards.

The second charge relates to the same game, with the club being charged for spectator misbehavior and failure in providing adequate security for the assistant referee who was struck by objects thrown by Sivutsa fans.
