The Englishman led AmaKhosi to the Premiership crown in the middle of last month, with the Soweto giants winning back the title they lost to Mamelodi Sundowns last season.
Baxter's efforts have since been rewarded with the final monthly coaching honour for the campaign, although Baxter was more focused on the Soweto giants' success over the season, which also saw them being crowned MTN8 champions in September.
"This (coach award) is something nice to have," the coach told his club's official website.
"Winning games and winning the league are, however, must haves."
Baxter is now keen to see his squad rewarded for their efforts at the PSL's end of season gala, most notably the Player of the Season gong.
"There are a number of our players who should be in contention to win this award."
