Chiefs sign Manqele - reports

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have completed the signing of Edward Manqele from Chippa United.

According to Soccer Laduma, the striker has penned a two-year deal with Amakhosi with the announcement soon to follow.

“Edward Manqele has signed for Kaizer Chiefs. It sounds like it’s a two-year deal. Chippa [Mpengesi] mentioned to one of the guys that the player has signed for Chiefs," said an unnamed source.

“He told the guy that the deal was finalised yesterday [Thursday]. The club’s chairman [Mpengesi] confirmed that the boy has signed."

The 28-year-old has previously played for Free State Stars, Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows.
