Johannesburg - Tinashe Nengomasha wants Kaizer Chiefs to resemble Manchester United once again when they tackle Moroka Swallows in a Soweto derby.
Amakhosi will face their struggling neighbours at Lotfus on Wednesday night without top goalscorer Knowledge Musona and defender Jimmy Jambo.
Despite the double blow, the Zimbabwe hardman believes the Glamour Boys can march closer to the top of the table if they continue snatching points from the jaws of defeat.
The latest comeback from Chiefs saw them come from behind twice against Platinum Stars to win 3-2 over the weekend.
And Nengomasha believes this is the mark of champions - and is the kind of spirit shown by the Red Devils.
"We never threw the towel. You can count on big clubs like Manchester United who do not give up when chips are down," he told the club's official website.
"Credit should go to everyone in the team for keeping their head up during the game.
"We kept our cool, played our normal game and most importantly we showed character."
Amakhosi will have to be at their best against Swallows, who are second bottom in the standings and ousted Maritzburg United in their last tie.
They have managed some impressive results under coach Gordon Igesund, who replaced Rainer Zobel, and will be desperate to down Chiefs.
"The game against Moroka Swallows is the most important thing for us right now. They have been doing well lately and we cannot take them for granted," added Nengomasha.
Musona is suspended for the encounter, while Jambo has picked up an injury to his left calf.
Meanwhile, MacBeth Sibaya could make his debut for Swallows, but Igesund does not want to risk the midfielder.
"I haven't decided whether I'll play him as yet and we will do that on the day of the match with consideration that he hasn't played for a couple of weeks now, though I know that he is professional," said the coach.
On Chiefs, Igesund added: "They are vulnerable in certain areas, and you saw that they conceded two goals in the Stars' game.
"I know that it will be tough. We are going to try and attack them and will go to the game aiming to win. The good situation for us is that we are starting to create good chances at goal."
Malian striker Cisse Bouguta, who made his debut against Maritzburg, expects to get another chance to feature in the Dube Birds colours.
