Chiefs must avoid 'same trap'

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs defender Morgan Gould admits that allowing teams to catch them now would be a repeat of last season.

Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, Gould mentions that the camp that Amakhosi retreated to in Stellenbosch, Cape Town was a busy time for them.

“The camp was hard work as usual,” said Gould.

“We learned a lot.

“And watching German Bundesliga as a team we saw the danger of the midseason break,” said Gould about the encounter between German Bundesliga log leaders Bayern Munich losing to 1 - 4 Wolfsburg.

“We do not want to fall in the same trap,” says Gould.

The former Bafana Bafana centre-back had experience something of the similar nature having lost the PSL title to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Chiefs led the Premiership for the majority of the campaign only having to relinquish it to the hands of The Brazilians.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
