Cape Town - Amid speculation that an agreement between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates - over the services of Lehlohonolo Majoro - has been reached, Amakhosi’s Corporate and Communications Manager Vina Maphosa said the club’s Football Manager, Bobby Motaung, is yet to confirm the news to him.
“So far I don’t know anything regarding an agreement with Pirates,” Maphosa told Sport24.
“Usually when there is a matter of this nature, our football manager always calls me and informs me about it.
“We spoke less than half an hour ago but he never said anything related to us reaching an agreement with Pirates over Majoro.
“Yes something was mentioned verbally that Majoro signed a pre-contract with Pirates but we can’t rely on verbal communications you know that,” he added.
The unsettled 27-year-old forward was spotted at the Pirates and SuperSport United match on Saturday giving moral support to the Buccaneers, which signalled his desire to don the famous black and white jersey following his difficult spell at the Phefeni Glamour Boys.
Majoro’s transfer saga has been the much talked about in the current transfer window.
It remains to be seen where “Major” will be this season as he is still contracted to Chiefs until the end of the season.
