Chiefs 'keeper thinking of Europe

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse has hinted that he might exit Naturena for a European club.

The player is slowly growing frustrated with being back-up for either Itumeleng Khune or Brilliant Khuzwayo.

Since joining Amakhosi in 2013 from Shamrock Rovers the goalkeeper has only made 16 appearances for the club in all competitions.

The ‘keeper however sees Europe as his next destination if he were to close the chapter on Amakhosi.

“Yes, I haven’t yet signed a new contract with Chiefs but I am still a Chiefs player. What I want is more game time. And if I can get that here at Chiefs I will be happy,” said Pieterse.

“But if things don’t work out here I can only think of a move to Europe.

“I have played at the biggest club in South Africa and the only right move would be to Europe, but though I haven’t yet signed a new contract here I am still a Chiefs player,” Pieterse concluded.
