Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League's disciplinary committee has charged Kaizer Chiefs for not allowing their visitors access to changing rooms prior to a Nedbank Cup match last month.
According to the Soccer Laduma website, the disciplinary committee found Chiefs guilty of contravening rule 10.5 prior to their 2-0 Nedbank Cup victory over Polokwane City in Durban.
“Kaizer Chiefs were charged with contravening Rule 10.5 after they failed to allow Polokwane City FC access to their change room in their Nedbank Cup fixture on 16 March 2013 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. The rules stipulate that the home team must make the change room available to the away team at least four hours before the start of the game," the PSL said in a statement.
Chiefs have been ordered to send a written apology to Polokwane City within seven days, while the apology is also to be posted on the PSL's website.
Amakhosi were also fined R100 000, wholly suspended for 12 months, and were ordered to pay the costs of the hearing.
