Chiefs fans honour Senzo

Cape Town - Fans of South African football have put rivalry to the side as they mourn the loss of national team captain Senzo Meyiwa.

One example, is a moving letter from the Kaizer Chiefs Supporters Branch in Vosloorus, signed by chairperson Neo Talane, to the Meyiwa family.

The letter was posted on the Glamour Boys website and reads as follows:

“We wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to your family at this hour of grief.

"We pray that God gives you the strength, perseverance and courage to come out of this.

"We have no words to express how deeply sorry we are to hear about your loss. We are in shock since receiving the news. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

"Words cannot express the heartache we feel for your family. We adored and love Senzo so much.

"Please know that you will always be in our heart and prayers.

"STAY STRONG and you shall overcome.”
