Chiefs deal will go through - Cardoso

Cape Town - Daniel Cardoso’s proposed move to Kaizer Chiefs looked to be a sure thing but when it was not announced at their tumultuous press conference last Tuesday many thought the deal hadn’t gone through.

Cardoso has, however, confirmed to Sport24 that the move is all but done and is just waiting on an announcement from the club itself.

“There isn’t any more news, I want them to make the announcement first," said Cardoso.

"It’s pretty much done, so it will go through.”

The man from the South of Johannesburg spared a moment to thank his former employers for the role that they have played in his development as a player.

“I’m definitely excited but I’ve gotta [got to] thank Free State Stars for giving me the platform.”
