Chiefs could dump players

2010-11-29 14:14

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs' shock defeat to Vasco da Gama could have severe repercussions for fringe players in the squad.

Vladimir Vermezovic fired a broadside at Amakhosi after they four points adrift of Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns due to the reverse at the FNB Stadium.

The Soweto giants went into the showdown with the Cape minnows without the services of first-team regulars Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Itumeleng Khune.

Shorn of their stars, the Glamour Boys were outplayed by Vasco who deservedly won the match 3-2, but in characteristic style, Vlad V has warned that heads will roll at Naturena.

"They want to take only big games seriously. We are going to sell players. No one must think they are bigger than Kaizer Chiefs," said the Serbian coach.

"I have said before that while we may have the best team, maybe we don't have the best players. Some took my statement to mean they are bigger than the team."

Chiefs have an opportunity to redeem themselves in the Telkom Knockout final this weekend, but for some members of the squad, their careers at the club could end within weeks.

Couldn't agree more if players don't deliver the must be dumped. Hope Pitso does the same in the national team. We need professional players, at this level every game is serious. Our media is also a culprit by emphasizing a game that is 2 weeks are head as if its the only game in the PSL calendar, thats why we will continue playing in half full stadiums if not less. Not to mention security at the game, we need to introduce more class tickets that range from R40 to R150 (excluding suites) , tired of dagga smokers at the stadium.

Leave the poor players alone. How can you go into a legue game without your best 11? Your team deserved to loose. Perhaps this shows waht is important to Chiefs; cup games. The legue? No forget that one. Even continental championships, Nope, they are not interested. They want to win the Telkom Cup, Nedbank cup etc. You try fringe players in cup games. Go to any country, the best team is determined by the number of times they have won the league. Continental glory is just an icing in the cake. To Kiazer chiefs, both these mean absolutely nothing. Telkom cup, nedbak, that is waht they are all about.

Get rid of them, they waisted our time on Saturday.

Chase them before the Telkom Knockout so that my beautiful bhaka juju can win the second silverware.

ASK THEM WHY, ONE ON ONE AND PROMISE THEM THAT EVERY CHART WILL BE CONFIDETIAL AND THEN YOU WILL SE THE ANSWER BECAUSE THERE AT CHIEFS THERE IS A LOT OF JELUS WHE PLAYERS WANT TO BE ON THE TOP BY NOT PLAYING THE BALL WITH ATHER AND THAT MAKE US THINK THE ATHER ARE NOT CONTRIBUTING AS ME I SEE ALL AS KING BUT NOT LOVING EACH ATHER

vasco is the team that afford not even to score goal at chiefs because they are still on the window shoping at psl what they did to chiefs is antrespect even wits they have not done such thing before but they manage to disrepect the bigest team in S.A buy persisting to shoot so much on chiefs and loose next time thy must pay the price that will not have a save them so much for they misbihave on chiefs

VV must has a good team but i think he has to consider the matter substitutions coz it alwayz open the gap for oppornent as a support i used to say its better if start and finish the with the same team coz introducing players that won't make a possitive changes in the play of a team always cost him, i think he must use a player like mathebula instead of confusing Abia Nale with his jealous
