Johannebsurg - Kaizer Chiefs coach Vladimir Vermezovic was naturally disappointed to have dropped points away to Vasco da Gama in the Absa Premiership at Athlone Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Cape-based side held the Soweto glamour club to a 0-0 draw on Tuesday night, having beaten them on the road in the reverse fixture, to move above Platinum Stars into 11th-place in the Premier Soccer League standings.
Chiefs, meanwhile, remained in third and edged a point closer to Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates, who both have 46 points. A win, however, would have seen them move a point clear at the top of the table.
Vermezovic said: "We made everything today(Tuesday). But sometimes it's like that - the simple ball doesn't want to go inside.
"We played three/four strikers; but it's OK.
"It's more important to collect three points but sometimes it's impossible."
When asked about the instructions he was seen to have screamed at Mthokosizi Yende, the coach added: "Yende sometimes is a player who likes to stay on the ball too much. That's not our style of play. We like to play quick, good football. Sometimes it's impossible.
"They were too much on the ball and were late with the passing but it's not the reason we didn't score."
Finally Vermezovic conceded that his side weren't destined to beat Vasco on Tuesday night after seeing them missing so many opportunities to find a goal.
He conceded: "It's one of these days."
