Chiefs back technical team

Kaizer Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung has come out in support of the interim technical team of Donald Khuse, Doctor Khumalo and Arthur Zwane.

The trio have been under pressure after losing three games on the trot since taking over from fired coach Vladmir Vermezovic.

However, Motaung revealed that despite the three consecutive defeats the management remains behind the technical team and the players.

“We remain firmly behind the technical team and the players because we know that despite the results not coming they have been giving their best starting in training and during games.

Amakhosi will be hoping to bounce back from the recent slump when they host rejuvenated SuperSport United at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.

Motaung said: “We will keep on supporting them and the match against SuperSport United provides us with an opportunity to turn things around. The players are aware that the pride is at stake on Saturday.

Credit should really go to the team that despite the slump they have continued to play positive football and that is demonstrated by the number of opportunities we have created.

At this stage we are not thinking about the league honours but to win our next game. We have five ‘finals’ to go; the focus is 100 percent on the first one against SuperSport United,” added Motaung.

Tickets are available at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers at R40 for adults and R10 for children.

The game will kick off at 20H15.
