The Hoffenheim coach is known to favour soccer played at a high tempo, including pushing the gas pedal at the right moment. “Tempo, tempo, tempo” is Gisdol’s motto. The German club is one of the most attractive Bundesliga sides to watch at the moment.
Speaking to the Chiefs’official website, Gisdol laid out his expectations ahead of the friendly due to take place at the FNB stadium.
“We like to play attacking football,” says Gisdol.
“We also want to have a quick transition game from the back going forward. This has to be done with precision and at high speed.
Gisdol added that Chiefs are in the mould German giants, Bayern Munich, if one were to describe their contributions to football.
“Kaizer Chiefs are the Bayern Munich of South Africa.
“They are the big powerhouse of South African football.”
The German Bundesliga side will face Amakhosi Friday night, January 16.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
