Oostende have reportedly being keeping an eye on the player for some time, with his agent Tim Sukazi having claimed that the club have been impressed with the Bafana Bafana centre-back.
But despite the talk of Oostende's interest in Mathoho, Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung says AmaKhosi have had no contact with the European club.
"We don't have anything from Oostende," Motaung told goal.com.
"We only heard from the media but nobody from Oostende has spoken to us about their interest in Mathoho.
"He's young and he's doing well for himself and for the club. So, he has a bright future ahead."
Oostende currently have former Kaizer Chiefs marksman Knowledge Musona as well as former Orlando Pirates midfielder Andile Jali on their books.
