Chansa makes Pirates exit

Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates have revealed that Isaac Chansa will play his football in China next season with Henan Jianye FC.

A statement on the club's official website read:

Football Club can confirm the sale of midfielder Isaac Chansa to Chinese outfit Henan Jianye FC.

This deal comes shortly after both parties agreed terms on the transfer.

Although the club would have liked to keep the African Cup of Nations winner at the team for the new season, the player had already expressed his intentions to move overseas for a fresh challenge and hence the club ceded to the players request.

Chansa has represented the club with distinction since returning from his short stint in Sweden. The Zambian international was instrumental in both treble winning seasons for the Buccaneers.

On behalf of the Orlando Pirates family we would like to wish Isaac Chansa all the best at his new club.
