The source close to the player told Sport24 that the midfielder is very excited about a fresh start following Moroka Swallows’ relegation to the National First Division.

He said Wits and the player are in final stage of finalising the deal.

“He wants a fresh start and is confident the move to Wits is what the players wants,” said the source.

“Lerato is adamant there is a lot he can still offer and wants to play for a stable team after a few seasons with a struggling Swallows side.”

Swallows have already lost a number of players who are not prepared to go down to the NFD.
