Chabangu feels 'at home'

Cape Town - Chippa United midfielder Lerato Chabangu was thrilled with his first meaningful contribution with the team following their 2-1 win over Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Chabangu, who joined the Chilli Boys last month, scored the equaliser in a come-from-behind victory at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Ugonna Uzochukwu went on to power Chippa to the three points after Lehlohonolo Nonyane had put Aces ahead in the first-half.

And, Chabangu felt it was a positive response after losing 2-0 to SuperSport United in midweek.

"As you know, we got a bad result during the week and to come back was a good thing for us and the supporters," he said after scooping the man of the match award.

"With the home advantage, we wanted the positive result so badly, and I'm happy we got it.

"As a team, we are still fighting for combinations. We haven't quite gotten it yet, and we just have to keep on working towards it.

"The combinations will eventually come, we just have to take time and be patient.

"I'm feeling at home at Chippa United, as you can see, I'm enjoying myself. It's only the fitness, but I'm getting there step-by-step."
