Johannesburg - Bloemfontein Celtic have secured the services of Jacky Motshegwa on a season-long loan deal from Orlando Pirates.

According to reports, the midfielder has struggled to get game time at Pirates as he reaches the peak of his career.

The 26-year-old was well down the pecking order behind Oupa Manyisa and Sifiso Myeni, and now Thabo Qalinge and Issa Sarr has been brought in as well.

But Motshegwa will not be guaranteed a starting spot with Celtic having already signed Musa Nyatama and Mukuka Mulenga.

Celtic will try and dent Kaizer Chiefs’ chances of continuing their winning streak on Tuesday, August 19 in their Absa Premiership encounter.

Kick-off is scheduled for 19:30.
