Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic are brimming with confidence ahead of their MTN8 clash against Bidvest Wits.
Ernst Middendorp's side will be hoping to continue where they left off last season and get past a trick first round encounter against a strong Wits side.
According to the club's official website, Siwelele will continue to rely on Mogogi Gabonamong, Ruben Cloete and Bevan Fransman as they look to regain the title they won in 2005.
Bloemfontein Celtic fans will be hoping prolific striker Gabadinho Mhango can be back to his best and continue to be a constant goal threat. At just 21-years-old, the fans will be warned against placing to much pressure on the young star.
“I feel we have one of our best teams at Celtic in recent years, full of experience, hungry for silverware and desperate to pick up a trophy for the supporters and new owners,” said Gabonamong.
“Wits are a quality team no doubt but with our new signings, a great coach and a belief in our system there is no reason we cannot lift the title,” he said.
Defender Musa Bilankulu agreed with him: “I think perhaps this season is our year to win a major trophy and a victory here tonight will boost confidence throughout the ranks,”.
Celtic and Wits open this season's MTN8 tournament at 20:00 on Friday at the Bidvest Stadium.
