Bloemfontein- Bloemfontein Celtic coach Clinton Larsen revealed his disappointments following their Nedbank Cup exit at the hands of Ajax Cape Town two weeks ago.

Phunya Selesele’s elimination from the Ke Yona competition signaled another trophy-less season as they last tasted cup success in the Telkom Knockout back in 2012.

Despite their 1-0 defeat to the Urban Warriors, Larsen said he was pleased with his side’s performance and they will take the positives heading to the next league game against the University of Pretoria on Sunday.

"Every coach and every team gets disappointed whenever they lose games," Larsen told Sport24

"Yes, I am disappointed that we lost to Ajax in the Nedbank Cup.

But despite that, I was very pleased with the type of performance we displayed on the day.

"So we will take the positives out of that heading to the next game against AmaTuks on Sunday.

"Hopefully we will be able to bounce back to our winning ways."

Celtic host the students at the Kaizer Sebothelo stadium on Sunday. Kick-off is at 15:00.
