Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic are finding it difficult to conclude the deal to retain the services of Musa Nyatama, who was on loan from Mamelodi Sundown’s last season.
The midfielder is highly rated by coach Clinton Larsen and attempts to get Nyatama back to the Free State-based side have been very rocky as other clubs have also submitted their bids to Sundowns in an effort to sign the 27-year-old Benoni born player.
The source close to developments told Sport24 that Nyatama is in demand and his recent performance for Bafana Bafana during the CHAN qualifier has attracted even more clubs.
The midfielder made his debut for Bafana Bafana in the 3-0 win over Mauritius a fortnight ago and retained his position for the second leg game set for this weekend.
“We have been in negotiations with Sundowns for a long time now, but nothing has materialised,” the source said.
“This is all because Nyatama is in demand with about three teams also interested in his service.”
However, the source remains confident that Celtic will seal the midfielder’s signature either on a permanent deal or another loan spell.
