Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic are prepared to fork out R2.5m to meet Mamelodi Sundowns asking price in order to land the services of Musa Nyatama on a permanent deal.
According to a News24 source at the Bloemfontein based team, Sundowns have lowered their asking price for Nyatama, who is highly rated by Clinton Larsen.
“He was a success here last season and has been the main agenda of the meetings between the coaches and management,” the source said.
“Sundowns want R2.5 million for the player, but we will also explore an option of taking him on loan again.”
The source also revealed that the club still has two more spots for foreigners and they might assess Madagascar’s Sarivahy Vombola, who was the top goal scorer at the latest edition of the COSAFA Cup.
“The coaches have been having regular meetings with the chairman and they have made it clear that they want to build the team around Nyatama,” he said.
Celtic have already signed Geoffrey Massa from University of Pretoria and Thabang Matuka from Maritzburg United and are looking to add more quality to their squad.
