According to Soccer Laduma, the former Orlando Pirates defender and current Bloemfontein Celtic CEO is being tipped to take over the role of CEO at SuperSport United.

However, the Celtic CEO has come out to squash these rumours by making it clear that he intends to remain with Siwelele.

“I’m not leaving the club. Such statements can destabilise a team and I don’t want that to happen,” insisted Konco.

“I’m staying at Celtic.”

Matsatsantsa’s former CEO, Stan Matthews, has taken up the role of SuperSport United Technical Director of Football which leaves the CEO post vacant.

Konco has been the Bloemfontein side's CEO since 2011.

Celtic's next Absa Premiership encounter ironically comes against SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, September 27.

Kick-off is set for 20:15.
