Celtic CEO saddened by fan death

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic unfortunately lost one of its supporters in a very horrific manner after being killed in a hit-and-run.

According to the club’s official website, the accident happened a few meters from the Free State Stadium immediately after Celtic was held to a draw by Kaizer Chiefs during MTN 8 semi-final.

“It is painful seeing anyone unceremoniously losing life in such a horrendous way,” a saddened Celtic Chairman, Max Tshabalala expressed his sympathy.

“We are pained as the Celtic family, losing a supporter who has dedicated his life to Celtic, travelling thousands of kilometers just to watch his team.

“Our sincere and deepest condolences to the family, we will as a team visit the family of the deceased to try and see how we can possibly help.

“We request motorists to kindly consider the pedestrians at all times,” concluded the Celtic chairman.

Meanwhile, both the Celtic Security Officers and Law Enforcement Authorities are working together to identify the culprit and will insure that justice take its course, this is according to the Celtic MD, Rali Ramabodu.

He also: “The team will avail its resources to help with the investigations and we appeal to anyone with information to contact the police.”
