Cape Town - Former SuperSport United defender Bradley Carnell says that Orlando Pirates has more experience and confidence ahead of their PSL clash.
The left-back who also played for Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits spoke highly of Gordon Igesund and said he always chooses a good striking force and he would be confident if he was the coach.
“Look I think I think Orlando Pirates have a lot of confidence going into this match. They have more games to them, playing in Africa and what not,” Carnell told Sport24.
“Gordon Igesund is a good coach who knows what he is doing.
“He always selects his striking force well. I think the New Zealand force will be a good one and also Grant Kekana coming from the left-back will cover the team well.
“A coach has to always be confident with what he has no matter the outcome.
“Gordon was also with Pirates so he knows them very well and should know what to expect going into this match. I would really be confident if I was a coach with such a great team.
“Gordon really has a strong team and hope they do him proud.”
United will face Pirates on Tuesday, August 11 at the Peter Mokaba stadium in the Absa Premiership clash.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
