Speaking on his official website, Modise says that the extended Christmas break due to the Africa Cup of Nations has made him miss playing football.

“I am happy that we have returned from the mid-season break,” said Modise.

“The match schedule is looking great with a lot of matches in a short period of time.

“For me it is exciting because we missed playing football and now that we are back to playing, I am happy.”

Modise added to his goal tally against Moroka Swallows when the PSL returned while also assisting Alje Shcut with his goal.

“We started great with a 4-1 win in the league.

“We drew in the CAF Champions League and now we will be preparing for the Nedbank Cup.

“Three days later we will be playing in Durban against AmaZulu. That is plenty of action and we are looking forward to it.”
