Cape Town - Orlando Pirates are stepping up their chase for the services of AmaZulu defender, Marc van Heerden.

According to KickOff, Usuthu have placed a R4m price tag on the Bafana Bafana left-back.

"Amongst all the other teams, Pirates is the team that is showing more interest," said an unnamed source.

"We should be knowing by next week which team he will be joining for next season."

Van Heerden is also being targeted by Bidvest Wits, SuperSport United and Platinum Stars.

The 27-year-old recently withdrew from the national squad due to an Achilles tendon injury.
