AmaZulu ended 2014 on a low note when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Moroka Swallows.

The Durban side has claimed just four points from seven home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Bloemfontein Celtic (away), Mamelodi Sundowns (home) and SuperSport United (away).

Usuthu are placed 16th on the Absa Premiership log with nine points from 16 matches.

Pirates extended their unbeaten run to four matches when they beat Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 in their last outing.

The Soweto side has claimed 12 points from eight away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Platinum Stars (away), Polokwane City (home) and Free State Stars (away).

The Buccaneers are placed fourth on the PSL with 26 points from 17 matches.

In head-to-head stats, AmaZulu and Pirates have met in 52 league matches since 1985.

The Buccaneers have claimed 22 wins compared to 10 for Usuthu, while 20 matches have been drawn.

AmaZulu have won six of their 26 home matches against Pirates, suffering seven defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season in Soweto, goals from Ndulula and Matlaba saw the game end in a 1-1 draw.
