Cape Town - After scoring on his SuperSport United debut, Jeremy Brockie is looking to cement his first team place.

Read: United too strong for Aces

According to KickOff, Brockie netted an early strike against Mpumalanga Black Aces to give Matsatsantsa a 1-0 win.

“My target first and foremost is to try and work hard to get into the starting XI, and once I'm in there, try retain my spot,” the 27-year-old New Zealander.

He added: “Then, it would be nice to score five or six goals at least before the season has finished.”

Brockie reveals that United's coach, Gordon Igesund, is planning ahead for next season with the intention of going all out as they chase the PSL title.

“As a team we want to try finish in the top six, higher if possible.

“But the coach is building more for next season and giving the title a real crack.”
