Despite only playing at United for half the season, Brockie scored eight league goals, not far off from Moeketsi Sekola, who topped the scoring charts with 14.
The New Zealand international netted 10 goals in all competitions this term, which helped Matsatsantsa to a top-eight finish.
Brockie says that he is enjoying life in Pretoria and looks forward to next campaign and the chance to win silverware.
"I think every striker wants to win that award," he told KickOff.
"But I know I have to work very hard.
"My teammates will provide me with opportunities on the pitch and it's up to me to put it in the back of the net. Firstly I have to work myself into the starting 11.
"I love the atmosphere in the stadiums on game day. The crowds are not the biggest but they love to dance, sing and have a good time.”
