Brockie: We want to win games

Cape Town - SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie stressed that the match against Mpumalanga Black Aces was a tough encounter.

The New Zealand-born star is aware of the high expectations placed on the team.

Brockie says that the team has been showing great character and improvement and knows that they are capable of doing more.

“It’s going to be a tough game for sure and there will be a lot of high expectations and we are very much aware of that,” he told Sport24.

“Look after coming back 1-0 down from Aces showed good character from the team and that showed what we are really capable and that we can do better.

“We want to win many games as possible and we make sure we increase the points on the log."

Brockie's aim is to perform well for the team and score goals but he  is aware of the pressure that his position brings.

“At the end of the day my job as a striker is to score goals and there is always pressure for goal scorers but I just want to do the best for my team and score goals.”

SuperSport United will play against Jomo Cosmos at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, August 26.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
