Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League has announced that Brand de Villiers is the league’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), reports the Soccer Laduma website.
De Villiers replaces Cambridge Mokonyane, who has occupied the role of acting CEO since the exit of Stan Matthews last year.
PSL chairperson, Irvin Khoza, said De Villiers would be taking over the post on July 2. Khoza said De Villiers has vast experience in running sports and is confident the right decision was made.
De Villiers said it's a real honour to be appointed to the role.
“It’s a privilege to be involved with one of the best leagues in the world. I hope to make a meaningful contribution," he said.
