Cape Town - Polokwane City, who secured their place in the top-flight again next season with a 2-1 victory over Black Leopards yesterday, have convinced coach Boebie Solomons to stay at the club. Solomons has confirmed he will stay at City after they managed to narrowly avoid relegation.
"I still have one more year on my contract and will be staying with the club next season," Solomons told KickOff.com wesite.
Boebie, who also revealed he hopes to retain the services of on-loan Platinum Stars man Sipho Jembula, is confident City will do better next term with more time to prepare.
"This was our first year in the PSL and the club started very late for preparations for the PSL after getting promoted from the National First Division," Solomons says.
"This was our learning curve and next season we will do better.
"We hope to keep all the players that played a key role in keeping the team in the PSL.
"I will be meeting with the club management this week to wrap up our season and discuss about our preparations for next season," concludes the ex-Santos mentor.
