Bloem Celtic sign trio

Bloemfontein- Ahead of their first pre-season tournament this weekend, Bloemfontein Celtic have completed the signings of the three industrious players to strengthen their squad for the 2014/15 season.

Celtic spokesperson Sello Nduna confirmed to sport24 in an exclusive interview on Friday that they have recruited midfielder Sici Shelembe from the National First Division outfit Witbank Spurs and the national under-20 striker Tshepo Chaine.

Both players penned two-year deals with options to renew at Phunya Selesele earlier this week.

Nduna also said that the Free State based team have also decided to keep their central defender, Musa Bilankulu, on a permanent base.

The 29-year-old man-marker spent the last campaign on loan from Bidvest Wits, respectively.
“We have recently signed three players.” Nduna told sport24.

“We have signed Sici Shelembe from Witbank Spurs and also the national under-20 striker, Tshepo Chaine.

“Both players were given two-year contracts but with options to renew.

“Also we have decided to sign Musa Bilankulu permanently.

“We still have more players who might sign for us.

“They are training with us and will participate in the pre-season tournament tomorrow (Sunday).

“Then the coach will decide on a way forward and we will announce it next week.”

Celtic are taking part in the inaugural E-TV Charity cup at the Bidvest stadium on Saturday.

They are meeting Wits in the first Semi-Final before Amazulu play against Mpumalanga Black Aces later on the day.

The Final is scheduled for a 16:00 kick-off.
