Johannesburg - Moroka Swallows have confirmed they have completed the signing of Joseph Makhanya on a two-year deal at the Dobsonville Stadium.
The Gauteng local first started playing professional football for Orlando Pirates in 2000 but spent the majority of the 2010/11 season on a six-month loan spell at Mpumalanga Black Aces.
And with Makhanya's Buccaneers contract reaching its expiration, the Dube Birds have been quick to pounce on the winger as they look to build on last season's 13th-place finish in the PSL.
The Dube Birds were believed to have fought off a number of potential suitors, including Bloemfontein Celtic, before securing the signature of the 30-year-old.
