Soweto - Moroka Swallows have finally broken their winless drought and ran out comprehensive 3-1 winners over Mpumalanga Black Aces.
It was Swallows' first victory of their campaign, thanks to a brace from Koketso Mmotong.
Swallows started the match three points above bottom of the log Aces.
The opening goal came from Swallows in the 63rd minute.
Koketso Mmotong found the net with a headed goal off a Siyabonga Nomvete cross from inside the box to make it 1-0.
Aces replied in the 70th minute with a goal from David Mathebula. James Madidilani provided the cross and Mathebula slotted home from inside the area to level the scores at 1-1.
Swallows did not let the equaliser stop their attacking play, and took the lead again in the 84th minute.
Mmoteng scored his second from a corner, with a well-struck header past Aces' keeper Francis Chansa to make it 2-1.
Nomvete was involved again in injury time when he scored the Birds' third goal to secure the 3-1 victory.
