Ajax Cape Town attacking midfielder, Khama Billiat, has been handed the chance to play in Europe after being given a five-day trial with a big Russian club.
The 22-year-old has been the subject of much speculation in recent months, with the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates both eager to land his services ahead of the new season having already made bids for him.
However, the player and his agent have both previously revealed that a move abroad would always be first choice for the talented winger, and it seems that he will now get his chance to make that move.
The Siya crew have been informed that the Zimbabwean international will fly out of Mzansi today (Monday) to begin a five-day trial with an as yet unconfirmed Russian outfit, although there is speculation that it could be one of the big Moscow clubs, CSKA, Lokomotiv or Spartak.
It is thought that Sundowns remain eager to land Billiat ahead of next season, however, should he impress in Moscow then he could well be lost to Mzansi and the PSL.
Is Billiat good enough to play in Europe?
