Johannesburg - Following their disappointing 2013/14 PSL campaign, Moroka Swallows veteran striker Siyabonga Nomvethe has admitted that his main objective for next season will be to make amends.
In an exclusive interview with Sport24, Nomvethe admitted that he did not rise to the occasion for the Dube Birds as his club finished the race flirting with the relegation placings, with 'Bhele' finishing the season with six league goals.
"I think I performed better in the first round (of the PSL season)," Nomvethe told Sport24.
"I seemed to lose a bit of momentum in the second round.
"It happens in the game of football but there is a room for improvement.
"Next season I want to work hard and improve (on) my game.
"I want to stay focused on the game next season to help my club."
The Soweto-based outfit completed the league race fourth from bottom, narrowly missing out on the relegation playoffs and the former Bafana Bafana forward said his teammates will be more ambitious next season.
"As a team we want to do better than we did last season.
"We also want to try and challenge for a league championship just like anyone else."
