Bhasera: A long way to go

Cape Town - Onismor Bhasera admitted that Bidvest Wits have dropped points in winnable games this season but is certain they will be contenders in the Absa Premiership title race.

The Clever Boys dropped two points over the weekend when they played to a goalless against Free State Stars which has seen then drop to fourth spot on the table after being at the summit.

Although he is unhappy that they squandered their chance to cement their lofty position in the standings, Bhasera says there is still a long way to go in the league.

Wits will now turn their attention to the Telkom Knockout as they take on the same opponents in the cup competition on Saturday.

"Nothing is lost yet in our league campaign," Bashera told Goal website.

"We know we have dropped points in games which we could have won, and they would have taken us to the top of the league.

"We still have a long way to go and keep on fighting for the league title.

"But for now, we will switch our attention to the Telkom Knockout tournament which we also really want to do well in."
