Benni or not, we don't 'fear'

Johannesburg - Platinum Stars are targeting nothing less than a point when they take on Orlando Pirates, according to club media officer Aubrey Molobi.

Stars got their 2011/12 PSL campaign off to a flying start by seeing off last season's runners-up Ajax Cape Town 2-0 at the Cape Town Stadium last Friday evening.

Owen Da Gama's men will now travel to the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night to take on treble champions Buccaneers, but Molobi insists Dikwena will be looking to carry their momentum into that match.

"We are happy to have started the season with a bang by beating Ajax," he told The Sowetan.

"At the end of last season, our supporters asked us to buy new players to beef up the squad. We are happy all our new signings did a great job in the opening match against Ajax.

"We mean business this season and we expect a tough game against Pirates. They are definitely the team of the moment after winning the treble last season."

Molobi went on to claim Da Gama's players have no fear of facing Bucs' new signing Benni McCarthy, adding: "They have also signed a number of great players like Benni. Our youngsters will be highly motivated to play against Benni but he must not expect any special treatment.

"Whether Pirates start the match with Benni or not, it's not our business. The worst result for us will be a draw."
