Baxter to travel with Chiefs

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs' coach-in-waiting Stuart Baxter will be in
attendance on Wednesday evening when Amakhosi square up against Ajax
Cape Town.
The former Bafana Bafana coach was confirmed as Vladimir
Vermezovic's full-time replacement earlier this week, and he will get
his first look at the squad on Tuesday when they host the Urban Warriors
in Polokwane.
However, the 58-year-old will have no say in any team business on
the night, with Donald Khuse and Doctor Khumalo set to continue their
roles as caretaker coaches until the final game of the season.
Baxter had met with the players for the first time on Tuesday,
with the new tactician already making moves to inspire the team to their
former glory.
According to the club's official website, Baxter told the squad:
"It is my intention to bring the best in you and make you the best you
can be. I want us to work together in bringing back trophies to this
club.
"I am honoured to be here and looking forward to working with you."
Chiefs begin their final sprint to the finish line against Ajax
on Tuesday, before traveling to Free State Stars on Saturday and ending
the campaign at home against AmaZulu.
