Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter admits he will need to rotate
his squad for Tuesday's clash against Polokwane City following a
noticeable dip in energy levels at the weekend.
Amakhosi had no fewer than five first-choice players return from international duty less than 48 hours prior to Saturday's clash against Mamelodi Sundowns, which eventually finished 1-1 after George Lebese cancelled out Teko Modise's opener.
With the Glamour Boys again in action on Tuesday, Baxter knows he will need to rest some of his stars, notably Mandla Masango, in order to avoid any burnout so early in the campaign.
"I took Mandla Masango off at half time (against Sundowns) because I thought he was defending deep and didn't have the energy to make the runs he normally does," the Englishman told The Sowetan.
"I think it was based on the fact Mandla wasn't himself. I'm guessing a few others were affected too, so we will have to rotate a few players."
