While his side continues to break records in the PSL, Stuart Baxter confirmed that the unavailability of both his number one goalkeeper and one of his main strikers.

"They are both quite far away." the Kaizer Chiefs boss told KickOff.com.

Baxter was forced to change his tactics during his side's recent win against Ajax Cape Town when he opted to play without a recognised striker in Mphela's absence.

The Chiefs boss will also have to continue with Brilliant Khuzwayo in goals as Itumeleng Khune will not be back on the field until the end of the year.

Baxter painted a bleak picture when quizzed on the duo's return to first team action.

"They have both started their rehab and jogging and may be available towards the end of the year, but I’m not sure if they will be match fit.” said Baxter.

Kaizer Chiefs will look to make it nine PSL wins on the bounce when they face Soweto rivals Moroka Swallows at FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening (19:30).
