Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter is confident his side will be able to see off the challenge of Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League.

Baxter men's were defeated 1-0 by Raja in their first-leg tie, before bouncing back with a convincing 3-0 triumph over Moroka Swallows in the Absa Premiership.

However, they were unable to build on that win as they slumped to a 2-1 Nedbank Cup defeat at the hands of National First Division opposition in the shape of Black Leopards at the weekend.

Baxter has warned, though, that his players will be determined to put things right when they face Raja at Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca on April 5.

He told the Daily Sun: "I've been in this situation before and I can promise you one thing: Chiefs are not out of the Champions League.

"I was not overly impressed by Raja in Durban. But our lack of punch upfront and the way we kept going to sleep on set pieces cost us.

"We've learnt from those mistakes and we're going to Morocco with one thing in mind, and that is to get into the next round of this competition."

Baxter managed to overturn one-goal deficit in the Europa League whilst at the helm of Swedish outfit AIK during the 2012/13 campaign, as his side clinched a 2-0 win in the return leg to progress from the play-off round.

And he is banking on a similar outcome in under a fortnight's time. He added: "AIK did what was termed the impossible by going to Moscow and winning 2-0.

"They did it and so can Chiefs. I know we'll face a hostile crowd but we're ready for that."
