Baxter keen on Tefu deal

Cape Town - Genclerbirligi coach Stuart Baxter has revealed the only thing preventing a reunion with defender Tefu Mashamaite is the foreign quota limitations in the Turkish Super Lig.

Mashamaite, the 2014/15 PSL Player of the Season, Players' Player of the Season and Defender of the Season, remains clubless after leaving Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the last campaign.

Baxter also departed Naturena at the same time in order to make the move to Europe, and the Scotsman admits he would relish the chance to again work with the towering centre-back, but concedes any deal is unlikely.

"I'd love to have Masha here in Turkey with me, however due to our foreign quota it's just not possible at the moment," Baxter told Soccer Laduma.

"Obviously I'll keep an eye on things and if the opportunity arises to bring Masha in then it's something I'll seriously think about."
