Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs stopper Arthur Bartman is confident Amakhosi can go on to win the PSL title this season.
The Soweto giants have six games to play when the PSL season resumes after the AFCON break and the 37-year-old feels that the Naturena outfit have what it takes to close the six-point gap on leaders SuperSport.
"I think we can catch SuperSport, but we've got to take one game at a time and see what happens.
"We are confident that we can go on to win the title, we have an experienced group of players and I think we stand a great chance of winning it," he told Football365.co.za.
Chiefs impressed at the recent Peter Mokaba Cup, where they beat Matsatsantsa in the final to give them just the boost they needed going into the last part of the season.
"Beating SuperSport in the final of the Peter Mokaba Cup will give us an edge going into the final part of the season, especially for those guys who haven't been playing," he added.
"It gave a lot of our young players a chance to stake a claim for a first team place."
The former Bay United keeper went on to praise the influence of Amakhosi skipper Jimmy Tau and his role in the team.
"Jimmy is a great guy first of all and you can talk to him and he is a great leader so all the youngsters look up to him and he plays a very important part in the team," he concluded.
